OVC Program Officer: National NGO

Job summary
The Program Officer will support the organization in ensuring provision of holistic services to children with disabilities, with special emphasis on education.
Key functions of the post
-Plan, coordinate and hold regular meetings on child protection issues for children with disabilities
-Support training, mentoring and monitoring of rehabilitation staff
-Participate in development of resource materials for provision of services to children with disabilities
-Ensure clear communication between line Ministries and other stakeholders
Minimum qualifications and requirements
-A degree/diploma in Special Education or equivalent qualification
-At least 2 years’ experience working with OVC, particularly children with disabilities
-Experience in training and facilitation
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
-Excellent communication skills and report writing skills

Executive Director: Local NGO

A local NGO with a vision for the success of women in national decision-making positions is seeking the services of an Executive Director.
The organisation aims to continuously lead the way in supporting local women in the national political leadership development at local, national and international levels.
In order to carry on with this exciting and empowering mandate, the organisation needs to appoint an Executive Director with a passion of congruent initiatives to the organisational vision.
The post holder will be responsible for the design and delivery of a fundraising strategy and will advise the organisation’s Board and staff on the conversion of the strategy into successful plans and financial outcomes. Internally, the director will work with an executive management team and staff. Externally, he/she will work with supporters of the organisation, beneficiaries and local political parties.
The post holder will provide inspirational leadership together with operational management for a new generation of major fundraising programmes that will provide sustainable levels of research, advocacy and leadership training support and facilities for young and mature women in politics.
We are looking for an ambitious and successful individual with relevant qualifications for project management, significant experience at management level and able to understand and communicate helpful visions both at the highest level of institutional management but also to potential supporters of the organisation’s vision. Of importance will be excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate significant success in building relationships and securing major gifts across all income streams.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any social sciences or business studies, plus significant postgraduate participation in women advancement related seminars. A Masters Degree is an added advantage. Have at least 12 years relevant experience, including 6 years in NGO.

Program Manager: Patsime

The Program Mangers role entails managing Patsime programs and reporting to the Director.
The responsibilities are
-Providing strategic direction to the organization
-Identifying and developing strategic networks and partnerships for the organization
-Fundraising and Mobilising resources for programs of the organization
-Designing and implementing the strategic plan for the development program activities and budget
Incumbent should have the following qualifications and key requirements
-Sound knowledge of financial management
-At least 2 years of demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate program
-Demonstrated ability to lead an organisation and provide strategic direction to projects/programs
-Strong analytical management and communication skills
-Strong public relations skills and ability to forge strategic networks, and the flexibility to work with stakeholders from different sectors and community classes
-Fundraising on HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive health experience would be an advantage
-Capability to work under stress, perseverance is essential as are flexibility and tolerance
-Should have a clean drivers license
